There are no words to describe the magic that happened at Northeastern Illinois University on September 9, 2009!  Many people felt it was an honor to witness such unity and spirit held at the peace fire. We listened to stories and messages from our Elders and took part in peace awareness conversations. We invite you to share your peace fire experiences, whether you were at the Chicago event or another one around the world. We would love to hear your comments and stories.

24 Hour Global Peace Fires – Chicago Location

Teacher From Seattle Making a Difference

Dennis Kamarainen who teaches at  Seattle Vocational Institute met with the Puyallup Tribe and invited them to join in the 24 – Hour Global Peace fires.  The meeting was successful and members of the tribe agreed participate. The Tribe has 3800 members across the country and Dennis hopes to get everyone participating.  You can visit them at  http://www.puyallup-tribe.com.  Dennis has lived in the Seattle area for many years and has participated and taught in the spiritual community in Seattle.  He’s passionate about bringing awareness to peace, unity and the need for the shift in consciousness in our world today.

Dennis will be traveling to Chicago as he is called to take part in the Chicago – Northeastern Illinois University Peace Fire Event.  He’s looking forward to meeting the Peace Connection Committee and bring home the spirit of peace to Seattle.

Dennis will keep everyone updated here on the blog about the Puyallup Indian Tribe peace fires!  Good work Dennis! Good news!
